Self-Absorbed
Decorative arrangement with two gold vases holding yellow orchids, green grapes, a large rock, a glass plate with open oysters, two candles, and red fabric draped around a surface.
A halved pomegranate with red seeds inside, surrounded by a string of white pearl beads on a white background.
Fresh oysters on a metal oyster shucking plate with a piece of cooked meat and oyster shells.
White sculpture of a woman with detailed hair and a calm expression, bust style.

Self Absorbed explores how identity is formed through a material gaze, where value is determined by how one is seen rather than who one is. The collection reflects a constant awareness of being observed, especially as a woman, where the self becomes both subject and object. It questions whether we define ourselves, or are instead defined through perception and desirability.
